Statement with regard to the duty to provide information (data privacy statement)

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Your data will be processed exclusively on the basis of the legal regulations (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR, Austrian Telecommunications Act 2003). This data protection information is designed to advise you of the most important aspects of data processing in the context of use of our website.

Contacting us
If you contact us using the form on our website or by email, we will store the information you provide (name, email address, home address, post code and location) in order to process your enquiry and any follow-up enquiries. If we decide not to process your enquiry, the enquiry and all the associated personal data will be deleted immediately. In all other cases, we will retain your data until you contact us at office@krispel.at to withdraw your consent. We will not pass your data on to third parties without your consent.

Newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletter through our website. We will need your email address and a declaration to the effect that you consent to receive the newsletter. The newsletter will contain information on the latest developments at Weingut Krispel GmbH winery and on our webshop. You can cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time. Please send your cancellation to: office@krispel.at. Then we will delete your data in connection with the newsletter dispatch immediately.

Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files placed on your end device by means of the browser. They will not cause any damage. We use cookies to make our offerings more user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. Matomo web analytics
On our website we use the open-source software tool Matomo. Our website is hosted on a virtual server of the computer centre of Hetzner Online GmbH, Sigmundstraße 135, 90431 Nuremberg, Germany. This ensures that data is not transmitted to unauthorised third parties and remains under our control. Matomo uses cookies. These cookies allow us to count the number of times you visit our website. The cookies are stored on your device, making it possible for us to analyse how you use our website. The last two number blocks of your IP address are anonymised, making it technically impossible for us to clearly identify you as a visitor. We consider this form of analysis to be part of our internet service; it enables us to improve our website and adapt it to the needs of our visitors. When you first access our website, you will see various cookie options that will allow you to decide whether you wish to permit a web analysis cookie to be saved to your browser to enable us to collect and analyse statistical data.

hCaptcha
To protect the contact forms from unwanted, automated messages, we use the hCaptcha service from Intuition Machines, Inc., San Francisco, USA. In accordance with the principle of data economy, only the data that is really necessary for the captchas to detect bots is collected. It is used on the basis of our legitimate interests in avoiding misuse and spam within the meaning of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Social plugins
On our website, we may use social plugins (“plugins”) of the social network facebook.com This service is provided by Facebook Inc. (“provider”). SSL encryption
For security purposes and to protect the transmission of confidential information (such as enquiries you send to us as website operator) we use SSL encryption. When SSL encryption is activated, any data you send us cannot be read by third parties.

Your rights
